As a follow up to my previous post about how the promise of an Obama candidacy bringing a fresh influx of new voters, which you can read HERE, there is a new little tidbit in the WAPO
Sen. Barack Obama is… uniting the right and center.
State Republican Party leaders interviewed by The Washington Times said fear of a far-left Obama presidency is warming once-skeptical voters to Sen. John McCain, fueling growing enthusiasm among Republicans that Mr. McCain’s more aggressive campaigning can lead to victory.

“We are expecting the Democrats to be fleeing the Democratic ship when November 4 comes around – plus, the Democratic candidate [Bob Conley] that is running against Senator [Lindsey] Graham is also running away from the Democrats, and you can quote me on that,” Mr. Beltram said.
Way to go Barry… way to unite the center and the right… way to lose Michigan, way to lose and election again.
Add to this the fact that several prominent Democrats are starting to distance themselves, including Mary Landrieu, and people like Bob Kerry and Russ Feingold showering McCain with praise… things are not looking good.
Damn, you would think the Democrats would learn! Lets look at history in math form…
1992
No Can Win Election + Run TO the Clintons = Win The Election
1996
Very Difficult Election + Run TO the Clintons = Win The Election
2000
Can’t Lose Election + Run Away From The Clintons = Lose The Election
2004
Can’t Lose Election + Run Away From The Clintons = Lose The Election
2008
Can’t Lose Election + Run Away From The Clintons = Things Not Looking Good So Far
