So Much For The World Rejoicing Obama’s Win – Hamas Attacks Israel

Israeli rescue services Wednesday reported a “massive” cross-border rocket barrage by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip — hours after an Israeli air strike in the first major exchange of fire since a truce took effect in June.

The Israeli military said in a statement that at least 35 rockets were fired from the strip early Wednesday, but there was no immediate word of injuries or damage.

The militant group Hamas said it fired the rockets.

Israel launched an airstrike on Gaza earlier Wednesday after its troops fought a fierce gunbattle with Hamas militants who then fired mortars into southern Israel. The fighting killed six Palestinians and threatened to unravel the truce that had mostly quieted violence in the volatile territory.

The violence was sparked after the Israeli army said its forces uncovered a tunnel about 300 yards inside the central Gaza Strip that militants planned to use to abduct Israeli soldiers. It said a special army unit headed to the area to destroy the tunnel….

A senior military official said troops had discovered a tunnel that was about to be used to abduct an Israeli soldier. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the matter, said the tunnel was dug from inside a Gaza home, illustrating that Hamas was using civilians for cover.

“We don’t have any intention of breaking the truce, we are working to isolate this threat,” the official said, noting that some 60 mortars had been fired since the truce and Israel had chosen not to respond.

Now Hamas Endorses… Biden???

In an exclusive interview tonight, a senior Hamas official heaped praise on Sen. Joe Biden, calling him a “very nice” person and a “great man” whose record “speaks volumes” and who can be counted on by the terror group to engage in the “right policy” toward the Middle East.

During the interview with WND’s Aaron Klein and WABC Radio’s John Batchelor, the Hamas figure also expressed hope regarding Sen. Barack Obama’s “vision for change,” announcing Hamas will send Obama a letter of congratulation “the moment he will win the election….”

“His record speaks volumes. I do believe Mr. Biden is a great man. And we do count on him also as a good partner with Mr. Obama to put the right policy regarding how to handle the problems in the region.”

Speaking about Obama, Yousef commented that it’s “good for America to have a new administration with someone like Mr. Obama and his vision for a change.”

“I do believe actually with this administration, with the Bush administration we don’t have luck (ending Hamas’ isolation). …We as Palestinians are thinking that we might have better luck with a new administration, maybe, if Obama wins the election. I do believe he will change the American foreign policy … in the way they are handling the Middle East,” Yousef said….

Maybe This Is Why The Terrorists Endorse Obama…

As many of you may know, Barack Obama’s candidacy has been surprisingly popular with some of the most infamous people and groups in the world.  Everyone from Castro and Chavez to Hamas and Al Aqsa has expressed their support of and endorsed Obama for President of the United States…  It has been really bizarre.  Nothing like this has happened, certainly not in my memory (except if you tinfoil hat the whole Ronnie Rayguns/Iranian Hostage Crisis thing, but that wasnt a public endorsement anyway.)

It made sense.  Obama seemed more understanding of their point of view than any serious contender for the office, past or present.  But still…  why would someone like Khadafi publically endorse Obama, risking a backlash from one of the other candidates if Obama lost?  Why would they bother getting involved?

Well, a small tidbit from FormerObamaSupporters may provide the answer…  Al-Manar TV interviewed a Lebanese cleric, who decided to avoid talking about Israel and their 60th anniversary, instead choosing to say;

“That’s not the issue. We say that Allah willing, within 10 to 12 years, America will collapse. This won’t happen as a result of war. Not at all. Allah will send to America an American Gorbachev, from within. Gorbachev, who brought about the USSR collapse, was one of them. Everybody knows this story. An American Gorbachev will surface in America, and he will destroy this empire.”

Do they mean Obama?  That is the only thing that makes sense.  These radical Islamic factions think that Obama is going to be the equivalent of Gorby and destroy America!

Look, I am not saying that Obama is a terrorist or that he knowingly associates with them or that they have him in the bag…

All I am saying is that they seem to think he is gonna take us down from the inside…  that should say something shouldn’t it?
