McCain has been showing an unusually high level of snark in his campaign so far. It has been almost as if Saturday Night Live has been helping him write his advertizements. You can trace the history of his snark campaign ads HERE.
Well, apparently, this level of snark is nothing new, and it has been directed [...]

Well, I am not sure what Barack Obama is thinking, but he is snubbing a lot of very heavy hitters in the Democratic party and is sure to make a ton of enemies doing it.
So who has he told to NOT come to the convention?
1. Kwame Kilpatrick – this was predictable, but he is an [...]

Yesterday I discussed how Obama was betraying one of overarching narratives of his campaign… that he was a new kind of politician and was above going negative… well, that is simply not true as I show HERE.
And now we find out that Barack Obama, who has long decried the large donors and talked about how [...]

Following my 3 previous updates, HERE HERE and HERE, comes the newest update on the unexpectedly colorful McCain campaign…
From The Washington Times:
Sen. John McCain has so much spare cash on hand — he collected a record $27 million in July — that the Republican candidate plans to run campaign ads during the networks’ coverage of [...]

Think Obama has a new kind of politics? That he rides the high road? That he is squeaky clean and only the evil Republicans stoop to negative campaigning?
Think again.
From MSNBC
*** Obama’s stealth ad campaign: Over the past week, we’ve gotten our hands on a number of negative TV ads Obama’s been running against McCain in [...]

In the emails and memos the Atlantic recently uncovered from inside the Clinton campaign comes a little memo from Clinton’s chief strategist. Mark Penn spoke about the weakness of Obama in all the battleground states and how only a 5pt swing towards McCain would result in a crushing defeat for Obama in the General Election.
Well, [...]

Tim Kaine, the Governor from Virginia, actually made a comment that indicated he believed that the Russians agreed to a ceasefire in Georgia because Obama asked for it.
Here are Kaine’s actual words…
It was a bad crisis for the world. It required tough words but also a smart approach to call on the international community to [...]

I have not been a fan of the Huffington Post during this election cycle. The Huffington Post, along with DailyKos and DU, lead the charge in the online attack against Clinton, at least perceptually.
Since the end of the primaries, when the real numbers are coming in and critical votes came up, and Obama did not [...]

In a follow up to my piece about Obama failing the 3AM phone call test on the Russia/Georgia conflict, it turns out McCain is stepping up and telling Obama; “I got this one.”
According to TPM McCain has announced that he is sending his top 2 people to Georgia, Graham and Lieberman…

Go ahead… guess.
If you guess… you might be right Wright!
Yep, our old friend Reverend Jerimiah “Gawd Damn America” Wright is going on a book tour to promote his new book, and when did he choose to do it?
That’s right… October.
He is going on tour in the worst possible month for Obama, but it is sure [...]

Stanley Kurtz, who sometimes writes for the National Review and other well known conservative media outlets, claims to have found some of Obama’s “Lost Papers” which don’t paint a very nice picture of Obama at all.
If these claims are real… Obama has some serious problems.

From Jonah Goldberg in the LA Times:
The Obama campaign has for months pursued the odd strategy of having the junior senator from Illinois act as if he were already kinda-sorta president of the United States. In June, it tried sticking a quasi-presidential seal on his lectern. Then in July, he conducted what seemed like official state [...]

We recently found out that Edwards did have an affair with the documentary film maker, and now Barack Obama has come out with his reaction…

In a continuing update of my original post HERE there are some new developments!

Does anyone do background checks or vetting anymore? Seriously, this is ridiculous!
About a week ago, the Obama campaign proudly proclaimed a new outreach program directed at the Muslim community… a great and noble endeavor. Good on them.
