Priorities…. Others vs Self

Today, John McCain is once again setting aside his Presidential campaign and is ready to delay or cancel the debate he is expected to perform best in, the foreign policy debate, so that he can be at the forefront of the Bailout efforts and make sure that the American people get the best possible solution in a timely manner.

On the other hand, Barack Obama has not suspended his campaign, has bought up all of the advertizing time the McCain forfeited to take care of the American people, has his surrogates running horrendously offensive ads that tell people that McCain is going to die of cancer in graphic detail, and is spending his mornings at the gym….

So, who’s putting Country First?  Who’s putting the American people first?  Who’s putting you and your family…  first?

John McCain.

Barack Obama just doesn’t get it.

  1. exactly how did McCain suspend his campaign? By canceling Letterman? By being interviewed by all the major networks about how he was suspending his campaign? Or by showing up unprepared at a meeting in DC to slow down the negotiations in progress?

He didn’t halt any regional campaign activities, pulled his ads for at most a few hours in a few locations, flip-flopped on the debate, and phoned in his participation in what he said was a crisis that required his personal on-site intervention only a few hours before.

It’s a stunt, and McCain should be ashamed. Is this what a McCain presidency would look like? Careening from crisis to crisis, making huge gambles, unable to multitask?

  2. Greg,

He pulled tv ads for 24 hours and only kept the rest because obama was buying up his forfeited time and running bullshit like that cancer ad, he cancelled public appearances and townhalls, cancelling letterman is also a big deal… millions watch that show, and he was perfectly prepared in DC.

Unlike Barack, this is not John’s first time to the rodeo.
