This is my 2nd post on why nobama, but i figured now that I’ve finally made my choice of the lesser of 2 evils, even though I do not necessarily endorse my choice, but rather nothing on top, I’ll go into why Nobama for me. I am a Democrat. I have never voted for a Republican candidate but I will this year. And here is why.

Why Obama’s Candidacy May Be Bad For Same-Sex Rights

Could Senator Barack Obama’s popularity among black voters hurt gay couples in California who want to marry?

That is the concern of opponents of Proposition 8, a measure on the November ballot that would amend the state constitution to ban same-sex marriage, which was legalized in May by the State Supreme Court.

Mr. Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, is against the measure. But opponents of the proposed ban worry that many black voters, enthused by Mr. Obama’s candidacy but traditionally conservative on issues involving homosexuality, could pour into voting stations in record numbers to punch the Obama ticket — and then cast a vote for Proposition 8….

Still, the tendency of black voters to oppose gay marriage extends beyond religion. Patrick J. Egan, an assistant professor of politics at New York University who has studied black voting patterns on same-sex marriage, said black voters consistently polled much lower than white voters on approval for same-sex marriage, about 16 percentage points, even when religion was not a factor.

Intersting little tidbit…  It will be fascinating to see how this works out?

Obama’s “Garden To Nowhere?”

A $100,000 state grant for a botanic garden in Englewood that then-state Sen. Barack Obama awarded in 2001 to a group headed by a onetime campaign volunteer is now under investigation by the Illinois attorney….

The garden was never built. And now state records obtained by the Sun-Times show $65,000 of the grant money went to the wife of Kenny B. Smith, the Obama 2000 congressional campaign volunteer who heads the Chicago Better Housing Association, which was in charge of the project for the blighted South Side neighborhood.

Smith wrote another $20,000 in grant-related checks to K.D. Contractors, a construction company that his wife, Karen D. Smith, created five months after work on the garden was supposed to have begun, records show. K.D. is no longer in business….

In addition to the 2001 grant that Obama directed to the housing association as a “member initiative,” the not-for-profit group got a separate $20,000 state grant in 2006….

Obama vowed to “work tirelessly” to raise $1.1 million to help Smith’s organization turn the City of Chicago-owned lot into an oasis of trees and paths. But Obama lost the congressional race, no more money was raised, and today the garden site is a mess of weeds, chunks of concrete and garbage. The only noticeable improvement is a gazebo.

Just another in a series of grants that Obama sponsored that seem to have evaporated into nothing…

Palin, a Moose and Hitler walk into a bar…

Congressman Hastings is a Florida Democratic Congressman that was once a Federal Judge…  until he was impeached and convicted for bribery and perjury that is.

Somehow he convinced a whole lot of dumb people to send him, a friggin criminal, to Congress…

Anyway, Hastings made a statement to a group of Jews Democrats in the middle of what I pray was a full blown paranoid schizophrenic attack, because if it wasn’t…  I don’t even know what…

“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats Wednesday. Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through,”

Holy Shit?!?!  Really?!?!  Did he seriously just insinuate that Palin was some kind of Moose hunting Hitler?

Please excuse my language.  Expletives rarely make their way into my writing, but I felt it was appropriate given the circumstances…

I mean, what the hell is wrong with these people?  I am dead serious…  what is wrong with these people’s minds?

Is there some black mold in the ventillation shafts in the Capitol Building causing mass hallucination and paranoid delusions?  Is someone diluting LSD into the Iced Tea in the Congressional lunchroom?  Is someone slipping the wrong kind of mushrooms on to their pizza?

What the hell kind of a person even thinks up something like that?!?!?!?!

I am so ashamed of the Democrats…

You people not only lost my respect, but you have lost my vote…  and you are working real hard on making it permanent.

Oh, wait…  Hastings topped his craziness off with this little piece of advice for us…  a nice little unity message;

“For those of you like me that supported Sen. Hillary Clinton, she lost! Get over it!”

Yeah…  I think that pretty much did it.
