DAYTON, Ohio – Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain introduced his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, at a raucous rally Friday in Ohio, praising her “tenacity” and “skill” in tackling tough problems.
Palin becomes the first woman to serve on a GOP presidential ticket and the first Alaskan to appear on a national ticket.
“She is exactly who this country needs to help us fight the same old Washington politics of me first and country second,” McCain told his Dayton, Ohio, audience.

I WILL REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!!
I AM NOW A DEMOCRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DNC~ KISS MY A$$!! COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!
When next Joe Biden brings up the issue about the discussion around the dinner table we will all know which candidate most reflects our own talk. sarah palin is an inspired choice. Never have I seen a person so much like a regular person. This is a person who did have to juggle dinner schedules around children’s activities and her husbands work. She did go to PTO meetings just like we do. More power to her, she stood up and spoke out about what she didn’t like. Now we can vote for her to be the vice president of the country.
Well, an interesting race just got more interesting.
I’ll be posting press released from the last 2 years that highlight Palin’s policy positions.
Mountain Sage
I am so thrilled with this pick- I actually had checked her out and thought Mccain would pick a male. But he was so smart- so mature as compared to Obama the brat.
“Meanwhile they dispatch trolls on our blogs to try to make the point that Palin’s selection would somehow be an insult to Hillary supporters. BZZZZZT! Wrong! Obama selecting a woman – other than Hillary would have been an insult. Mccain’s pick is vindication.” sarapuma said above.
I absolutely believe this and have found it on several other sites today. Its wonderful that our level of consciousness is finally allowing us to recognize these dumb tricks the bots are playing. We just need to let as many know as possible about these things.
I just saw an AA man Obama (on CNN-keith bonkin) supporter , who said ” Palin is a likable person” like Obama said about
Hillary. He calls McCains judgement to question- it is insulting to women , to Hillarys supporters, he said.

Hi, this is off topic but…
I just can’t believe an entire team of people could refuse to see what is in front of their faces. They continued to treat the Clintons with disrespect during the convention and while the Hill people were rallying in the streets!
How can they all ignore the polls that say half of us will not vote Obama and continue to push us away. The more I think about it, the more I think it is deliberate.
Hypothetically: why would they deliberately want to lose this election? Any speculation?
Seriously? I’m disappointed that Hillary isn’t our candidate but I can’t believe anyone that supported Hilliary is excited about Palin. Hillary is qualified, pro-choice and would help name judges that would protect our rights. Sarah is completely unqualified, pro-life and would help name judges that would be right there with Scalia.
I’m sorry it’s not a woman on the ticket – but I’m sticking with the dems.
I would have preferred Liberman but, Palin will have to do. I believe that if the Obama people start pointing out her inexperience as a VP candidate, well, just look who they picked as a presidential candidate, it would be inviting a longer look at Obama and his inexperience.
I wish my party would have supported the best candidate and that their caucus fraud throughout the battleground states had not been ignored by my party.
How can you ignore the fact that they cheated and committed fraud? It is unbelievable to me that they can simply get away with it.
Obama better watch out, the McCain camp is about to unleash on him, and it wont be pretty! I for one cant wait to see it after the way my party has acted and has treated me as a second class citizen.
I am a woman and a baby boomer, we will decide who the next president is, and if Obama doesnt need “those people” perhaps the McCain camp will welcome us with open arms.

We have made a ruckus that the world is tuning in to people, now that we have their ear what will we do for women and women’s rights?
Voting against misogyny will be good for women.
It strikes a blow to the misogyny that is the Democratic party. The world is watching and if we do not vote “for Palin” (more to the point against the Dems) as a protest of the unchecked misogyny, we will have wasted a prime opportunity to make a statement about women’s power to the world.
Are women going to buy into the idea that reproductive choice is our only issue? Are we only baby making machines? Or do we all have to go out and earn a living, and try to fight for respect in the workforce?
After all the fighting we have done over the years, to NOT vote against misogyny will render toothless any future arguement we may have for generations.
It’s not about issues, it’s about respect and standing up for myself. It’s not about the Republicans v. Democrats, it’s about women standing together and proving a point, that we are powerful. If we don’t speak out now, they will know we won’t fight for anything, that we will in fact sit down and shut up.
