Damn that lady is brilliant.
She spoke twice yesterday. Once at a “Women Count” function and second at the convention. She absolutely hit it out of the park with her speech.
She also did what she had to do… threw full weight behind Obama. Maybe now they will leave her alone now.
Oh, and Bill, a man of pure brilliance, posed a hypothetical yesterday…
“Say you have candidate x and you agree on all the issues with that candidate but you don’t think they can deliver on any of them. And then you have candidate y and you agree on half the issues with them but you think they can deliver on all of them. The question becomes for whom will you vote?”
he then quickly added that this has nothing to do with what is going on now…. ROFL.
LOL, I love Bill

I certainly hope her speech doesn’t factor in to her “brillance”, because she said it herself: “speeches are just words…”
And if Bill said that it isn’t very smart IF he is concerned with party unity. It is a smart(ass) comment IF you want to undercut Obama (and you’re bitter, you want your wife to be president in four years, or you want to support McSame).
BTW, that’s a pretty lame hypothetical, because it’s about what you “think” a candidate can do. Also, in this situation, how could Candidate X become president and not be able to deliver on anything. Couldn’t he at least veto 1 thing? And if you agree with only 1/2 of Candidate Y and he delivers EVERYTHING, that means you disagree with HALF of everything they do! LOL.
(this is my first comment, but I’ll be on the lookout for faulty reasoning like this. don’t take it personal)
She gave a brilliant speech. I’m assuming you picked up on the shout out to the PUMAs in her speech.
I hope you are having a great time, TCH. Thanks for the updates from Denver.
Bill’s a sly fox, isn’t he?
Mountain Sage
dare,
you are right, he is angry for a variety of reasons. do i blame him really for being pissed off, especially at being called a racist by the people he has supported? not at all. do i think he could be a bit less of a loose cannon? yes. BUT that is the question a great many americans are asking themselves.
and you are right, speeches are just words…. and she has a long record we can point to with her. she is much more than words.
THC,
We can definately agree calling Clinton racist was out of line. Even if you want to blow up the “well… Jesse won NC…” comment or whatever, that don’t make him a racist.
And we can agree that Clinton is more than “just” words. I want to contend that while Obama’s record may not be as long as H Clinton (but her record aint that much longer cause no one voted her 1st lady), he is more than “just words” too.
I didn’t catch all of her speech. What is that shout out to PUMAs Sage is talking about? And how’s Denver?
Denver has been very interesting, and I would agree that it is possible that Obama is more than words. I want to be unified, but I need to be reached out to and I have not felt that at all. I am a lifelong Democrat and do not want to leave my party.
Denver has been interesting and that is about all I have to say at the moment.
