Oprah Shuts Down Website, Scrubs Political Discussion From It? – Media Silent

Barack Obama is not the only one revising their website.  Oprah Winfrey seems to have gotten in on the action.

Last year, Oprah Winfrey came out and endorsed Barack Obama, calling him “The One,” an allusion to either Jesus or to Neo of The Matrix.  I am not sure which.

And so, Oprah lost a good portion of her audience…  I mean, what did she expect?  Oprah is one of the female standardbearers in the mainstream, and she chose to endorse the less experienced male over the very experienced female….  Is anyone shocked that a huge portion of her audience felt betrayed?

And so, on the Oprah Winfrey discussion board, the subject of politics exploded.  There were the Obama supporters and then there were the Hillary supporters, who eventually became PUMAs.  According to reports, one by one the Hillary supporters were drummed out through abuse, threats, and by the “alert” system which lead to them being banned from the board.

Until recently, there were a handful of good PUMAs left on the board…  but, like Obama, Oprah recently shut down her website.  During the course of this “maintenance,” the last remaining PUMAs were reportedly banned, and apparently ALL of their posts removed, not just the ones regarding politics.  Their presence was completely erased as far as I can tell.

The politics section was also scrubbed from the board and erased, though the Obama supporters were not banned from the board according to sources.  They remain, though further political discussion is reportedly no longer allowed.

 

Amazing how the Obamatrons seem to be trying to rewrite history, isn’t it?

And, once again, the media says nothing.

More than 4,000 threads and posts of mine have apparently been deleted from this site during the recent “cleansing” that took place.

Update #2:  Less than 24hrs after I broke this story, Oprah’s discussion boards are down for “upgrades.”  When you click on the link above you get forwarded to an “upgrade” splash page.  Is Oprah hiding something?!?!?!  I guess we will know if that link above works once the site is back up and running.

 

Update #3 – It seems Oprah’s page is back up and the linked post above is still there.  Good on Oprah.
