There are two seperate reports that have come out that indicate that Obama may be rapidly losing support among superdelegates, who may just decide to vote for Clinton at the DNC Convention.
Is this a PUMA dream come true? We shall see…
The first report I saw came from Politico…
After a brief bout of Obamamania, some Capitol Hill Democrats have begun to complain privately that Barack Obama’s presidential campaign is insular, uncooperative and inattentive to their hopes for a broad Democratic victory in November.
“They think they know what’s right and everyone else is wrong on everything,” groused one senior Senate Democratic aide. “They are kind of insufferable at this point.”
Apparently, Obama has not communicated with anyone on the Hill (Reid and Pelosi didn’t even know that the final night of the convention had been moved until the press release and they saw it on TV?!?!?!) and has done very little, if any, fundraising for any other Democrat down ticket, not helping them at all. They also seem to be rather upset at his “move to the center” (aka, jerk to the right) which was done without consulting anyone in the party…
Next… Alegre’s Corner breaks this hot little number, a leak from Will Bower -
“A large phone banking effort to the super d’s combined with Obama’s flips and poor presumptive nominee performance, etc have yielded doubts within the super delegates, enough that 3 elected and 5 DNC members have confided that should they have the opportunity to do so, they will vote for Hillary.”
I should clarify further that these 8 Super Delegates were apparently not, and never were, Clinton endorsers. These are people that supported Obama from the get go. (I should also clarify that Alegre saw that same Politico article I did…)
Looks like it’s not only the general public that is getting really nervous about Obama… The Super Delegates are too… and we still have 6 weeks or so to go!!!
